Denise Fullerton Chairs Legal Education Seminar

On October 28, 2008, Denise Fullerton was the seminar chair of a seminar for lawyers needing to gain knowledge and continuing education credits in the area of no-fault arbitrations.  Denise has become highly recognized by her peers as an expert on no-fault law, and has been a qualified neutral arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association since 2004, making it no surprise that she would be chairing this informative seminar.

On May 14, 2008, Denise Fullerton was a guest speaker at a seminar for lawyers needing to gain knowledge and continuing education credits in the area of personal injury litigation. Several years ago, Denise authored an article on the topic of Service of Process. That article has been so commonly referenced by her colleagues, that they asked her to make a presentation on the topic.

Denise Fullerton is guest speaker at Continuing Legal Education Seminar

On November 29, 2007, Denise Fullerton was a guest speaker at a seminar for lawyers needing to gain knowledge and continuing education credits in the area of personal injury and dram shop. Denise was asked to speak on the topic of liquor liability against private clubs. Not commonly known is the fact that private clubs (such as a Legion or VFW) get special liquor licenses, which limit them to serving members or bona fide guests. A sale of liquor to someone who is not a member or bona fide guest is an illegal sale. If the liquor that person consumes contributes to their negligence in causing injury to a third party, then the private club will owe some liability to the injured victim for their part in contributing to the injury.

MN Association for Justice Annual Summer Convention News

At its annual convention in August 2007, the Minnesota Association for Justice recognized our attorneys for their contributions to the organization and to the community.  Denise Fullerton accepted an Award of Excellence that was presented to the Women for Justice and New Lawyers Sections, for their ongoing community service projects which have focused on the Avenues for Homeless Youth. Denise, as a Chair of Women for Justice, has helped drive the efforts of the members of these groups to aide this shelter. These groups have raised donations of money and wish-list items throughout not only their organization’s members, but in the broader community as well. The Women's section has also made efforts at showing the youth at this homeless shelter the faces of caring legal professionals, by helping them move into apartments, recently hosting a barbeque, raising funds for a commercial grade freezer, and providing care packages for the house youth numerous times during the year.
